Neon Frenzy - Presentation/Graphics


This weeks checkpoint (Week 10) was about getting final graphics added to the game and completing animations if they were not already completed.

Implementation:

The only placeholder sprite left to replace was the player sprite, everything else was final. The sprite I had originally planned in the concept art was not able to be implemented so instead I found a sprite made by the same person who made the enemy robot sprite however the "player" sprite was not completed. The uncompleted part of the sprite was the legs, so I took the sprite and made it "hover" similar to the enemy robot.

Aside from the graphics I was able to start implementing other aspects to this build. I was able to start work on shooting, the player can shoot in this build, the player shoots from the chest area in the suit and the lazers come out different neon colours (chosen randomly). I also started health bars for both the player and enemies, the health bars sit above the player/enemy. Both shooting and healthbars should be fixed by the next build.

Feedback:

This week I was not able to get a build ready in time and missing the feedback session for this week. I am making sure to get feedback for next week.

Next week:

Next week (Week 11) is the final checkpoint which is UI/Polish, the aim is to have the game's user interface implemented. As for polish, just fixing up anything that is unfinished.
